Best friend troubles?

well see there is this guy who is like my best friend we tell each other everything we talk on the phone every night for about a good 5 or 6 hours he opens up to me about everything and likewise and but our friendship is rocky because he acts sometimes bipolar see i really like him...but he has a gf and but one night i was at my friends house and he told my other awesome friend that he likes me more than a friend heck he said that he is starting to like me like he likes his gf but he wont tell me this and he also tells me he is going to call back but he doesnt so when i tell him how i fell about this issue he pulls im not his gf crap but you dont do this to a friend then last week he sent me this txt saying he doesnt want anything to do with me and drew a arrow pointing to his signature that says he loves his gf so im so confused my friend the same one i mention earlier says to get over him but i just cant
