How does one judge what constitutes an images size on a forum? (example: small, medium, large, etc)?

You should browse the forums and take a survey of the images you see posted there. Right-click them to see their properties. Take note of dimensions and file-size. Then, make sure whatever you post doesn't exceed the average dimensions and size.
