Should I even put up a christmas tree this year? i mean my son will just b 9 months..?

and idk if its such a great idea i mean he crawls alot and im sure he will be walking soon and i dont want him to break ornaments and lights and stuff.. but i kinda want one because its his first christmas idk what i should do...
