Is what im doing kickboxing or freestyle karate?

"Freestyle Karate" is a term used by us Americans when we want to be known as Karate but is not a paticular style. Most likly it is a hybrid form of an older style of Karate but with the American twist put on it. I started martial arts in the late 70's, back then what is know as freestyle karate was known as American Karate.
